It's white mulberry season

In Turkey, it's the white mulberry (dut) season, a delicious fruit with many benefits for the health. From this mulberry is produced a molasses (dut pekmezi), famous for its power to cure and prevent anemia.

I've never seen white mulberries, but I remember the purple one we have here- they were very messy (especially for cars) but as kids we used to love to eat them off the tree. My grandfather used to make mulberry wine (I was to yong to ever taste it!)
